How dry should the bathroom floor be before it's safe to blow dry your hair without risking electricuting yourself?

My floor always gets wet after the shower, and even though I immediately wipe it up with a towel, it's still damp when I start blow-drying; so I put socks and shoes on first, for insulation, which is kind of a weird thing to do. As a result, between moisturizing, mopping the floor and getting dressed, by the time I am ready to blow-dry, my hair is too dry already. What do other people do?

I really don't think that you have anything to worry about A hair dryer is very well insulated, and if you live in a recently constructed house or apartment you probably have a GFI (Ground Fault Interruption) outlet installed -- and if you don’t, get one installed. The GFI outlet senses if power is taking a different path to ground and will interrupt the circuit automatically, protecting you fro electrical shock. You can recognize a GFI outlet easily -- it has a small red pop-out button between the two outlets..

Hair Dryers Hair dryers are really safe now, mostly all plastic to the touch. I would not be concerned about a damp floor. You can always slip on a pair of house shoes.

Dry with confidence.

You won't be able to ground you won't be able to ground if you hair dryer is working properly. Otherwise you would be able to electrocute yourself from the water on your hair the same, and that is one of the main purposes of blow dryers. Make sure your outlet is grounded and doesn't have water in it..

Uhhh You could stand in 4 feet of water and blow dry your hair safely, providing you didn't drop the dryer into the water, that is. I think what you're doing is definite overkill. There is no possible way for the electricity to move from the wall to your body simply because you're standing on a damp floor.

Even if you dropped the blow dryer, you'd be perfectly safe.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
