How long does it take to become resistant to ambien?

That's impossible to answer. It depends on how much you weight, how much you take(and for what reasons), and tolerance level, etc, etc. If you are taking it as prescribed for a specific reason, just do what he says. Your tolerance will go up over the years, as might your dosage.

However, that is normal. Only take it when you feel you need it if you are concerned with the tolerance you have towards it. I used to illegally buy Adderall and do it when I needed it.

It helped me a lot when I self-medicated myself until I got addicted. I didn't understand how much to take and I took much too much, I didn't understand what a hard drug it was. I thought it was candy so within a few weeks I was popping it for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Your doctor is an ignoramus. He does not know jack diddly about ambien. The pharmaceuticals tell doctors ambien is gentle and non-addictive, but that could not be further from the truth.It is every bit as addictive as benzos are, because they do the same thing to the brain.

Withdrawals from ambien is the same as withdrawals from benzos, only worse because it effects your ability to sleep. My sleep doctor said that for every week you take ambien, you will suffer withdrawals for a week.My GP said six months to recover from ambien. I've known people that took over two years to fully recover from what ambien does to the brain.

You REALLY need to find another doctor! What kind of idiot doctor would prescribe ambien and a benzo at the same time? And adderall to compensate for the sedating effects of ambien and xanax.

You know what happens after you take ambien for just one week? And then stop taking it? You get ZERO sleep for a couple of nights, and maybe you will be back to normal after a week.

Ambien quickly takes away from the brain the ability to sleep without ambien, and when you quit you won't be able to sleep at all for a long time. I took ambien and xanax at the same time because my idiot doctor didn't know better. When I quit taking them, I suffered severe insomnia and anxiety for four very long very hellish months.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
