How long does the average couple date before getting engaged?

It all depends on the couple, some couples date just several weeks before they know that it is their destiny and get engaged. There are some couples who date for years and then go their own ways. You never know the exact period of time before an engagement should take place.

You could tell your girl is ready for your proposal when she has introduced you to her parents, when she speaks a lot about her future home and some sweet things for home that she saw at a store. She might dream about having kids and life on her own. Some day I watched a movie where a guy proposed by putting a gorgeous ring on the bottom of a glass with champagne at a fancy restaurant, it was really sweet!

You could kneel down before her, compose a beautiful poem about your love and affection for her or just shout “marry me! €? From the top of a building!
