How many of you believe corporations have too much political power in America?

Welcome to corporate fascism! We allowed them to get to the point that they actually control our political system and ultimately our lives. Things will have to get worse before they get better, most people do not see the chains around their ankles yet."The truth is rarely pure and never simple" Oscar Wilde.(And yes, the banks and bankers are crooked pigs in my opinion who screwed us all and will continue to screw us as long as we allow them.

).

Not just america but in all countries. We are to blame for this and it will continue to happen until the average person finally decides to have a government that is truly made up of people who want the best for every one.

I absolutely believe that corporations have too much power, and they are still moving in the power direction. I believe that there is a high probability of wall street staged a rip-off with the bailouts. I now would not put anything pass our VIP's even murder.

With the ever present option of pulling out of a state or country (and there-by pulling out of political jurisdiction) corporations have political influence without regard to their involvement with politics. The dilemma that we are left with is: Do we limit their active participation in the electrical process or monitor that activity? Corporations are effected one way and one way only - their bottom line.

If we want a check to balance this influence it is best remembered when we buy whatever it is the evil corporation makes. Without our money they wouldn't have any political power / influence to speak of. If we look deep in the mirror we will see the source of the corporations political power in everything that we have convinced ourselves we can’t live without.

There are two questions here, IMO. To answer the 1st question, about corporations having too much power; the answer is "Yes" As for the 2nd question about the bailout; yes and no. I think some sort of bailout was necessary to keep the economy from collapsing, and keep America from starting down a path to fascism, by way of anarchy.

But I do think the banks, etc got off easy in terms of restrictionsOf course, the Supreme Court has made restraining corporate power difficult.

Big Corp is backed by Big Gov and vice-versa. One scratches the other's back.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
