How much groundwater is allocated in the Northern Adelaide Plains - T1 Groundwater Management Unit, and for what purpose?

Allocation Methods and Policy: As a matter of policy it was determined in 1969 that there should be no increase in the total use of the Northern Adelaide Plains confined aquifer system. A review in 1973 defined the water allocation plan, which is currently in operation. The area is prescribed.

Even with these controls in place there has been a deterioration in water quality and a significant drop in the water pressure measured in the confined aquifer. Current use of 3 times the sustainable yield indicates that the aquifer is being mined. A new water allocation (consistent with the new Water Resources Act 1997) is currently being developed and is likely to be completed by July 2000.

Discussion here of policies relates to the current management plan. The objective of the current plan is to achieve a reduction in the groundwater usage whilst maintaining the pre-existing irrigation and industrial enterprises. All groundwater users in the Northern Adelaide Plains are licensed with ... more.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
