How neat would it be if askville had a handy way to upload our own digital photos to illustrate our answers?

I realize they might have to be screened and maybe that's why it won't happen. Asked by edfoug 58 months ago Similar questions: neat askville handy upload digital photos illustrate answers Arts > Photography.

You can, Ed! You Can! Just use the little yellowish mountain thing and you can attach any photo you have on your hard drive!

See--here is my dog, Pretzel! *Poppet*'s Recommendations Kitty VGA Digital Camera - KT7002 Amazon List Price: $49.99 Used from: $30.75 Average Customer Rating: 2.0 out of 5 (based on 15 reviews) A new camera for you! Hehehe....

THEY DO! :) When answering a question one of the buttons at the top of the text window is for "Insert/Edit Image" Click it and a pop-up window comes up with a choice to add an image from a website or from your computer. Click the "Browse..." button and you can select any image from your computer Here's a fine example (this is the toolbar of the answer window) .

They do I do it all the time, although I normally upload screenshots with the relevant bits marked off like this one: Just click the little yellowish icon in the answer bar (the circled bit). It's a great tool, but the point you made about the potential for abuse is well taken - it's easier to scan text for inappropriate content than it is to scan images. Also one last tip, when you're uploading images please don't make them too large, because they'll take forever to download for people on slower connections.

Generally 30kb to 100kb is a safe range. And while JPEG format is best for photographs, GIF is normally better in terms of file size for line artwork such as screenshots.

You can! You can either link to a hosted location or upload. You just need to click the "mountain and sun" icon, like so: If you click it, you get: Works just as you'd expect.

However, I do wonder about the "inappropriate" images being uploaded, but I guess that's what the "Report Abuse" button is for.

Thank you. " "Can anyone tell me how to resize my digital photo so I can upload it to Askville?" "I can no longer upload photos for my answers. I just get an error message "internal error, try again"-anyone else?

Ideas.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
