How to learn Italian pronunciation? Is there phonetic video?

At school in Australia, we used a great learning program called "Avanti! ". It came with audio cds, books, and comics - so you could read along with the comics as new words were introduced, and that way you could see how each type of sound was pronounced.

I'm pretty sure it had audio of new "lists of words" that were to be learned too - so over time, you would see how to pronounce each type of sound. You could also search YouTube for an Italian Pronunciation video or audio. Italian is quite easy pronunciation wise - once you know all the major sounds, you pretty much know how to pronounce everything.

There isn't the variation that our beloved English has; it always makes sense; and is quite recognizable on the written page if you can speak and read English. I think your best bet would be to google phrases (with quotation marks around them) like "italian phonetics guide", "italian pronunciation guide", "italian educational audio" "avanti italian educational". Educational bookshops can be helpful too.

No video, but pimsleur offer a great series of language learning audios that do a great job, as they start with real life questions and answers and build up on them. They offer a short sample recording (click on the sound icon): pimsleuritalian.net/pimsleur-italian-i-p....

I found an interesting article on Mahalo You can check it out mahalo.com/how-to-speak-italian.

Italian vowels have specific sounds for each vowel. Certain consonants are different than english ones as well. Learn the italian alphabet and the pronunciation of each letter.

However the best way to have correct pronunciation when speaking Italian is to wave your arms around when you speak it and make many forcefull hand gestures. :).

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
