Try Ammonia If you have a front loader, put the shirts and other items into the washer. Hold your breath! Pour a cup of ammonia into the tub over the clothes.

Quickly close the door. Add the detergent and softener if you like and start the machine. DO NOT USE BLEACH!

Of anykind. Wash on the regular cycle with the hottest water setting. If you have a top loader, add the detergent, add the clothes, then, hold your breath and measure the ammonia in a cup and quickly pour the ammonia over the clothes.

Qickly close the lid. And step away so you can breathe. Again I say, DO NOT USE BLEACH!

Wash on the regular cycle with the hottest water setting. You may use a farbic softener. I have found that ammonia takes the odor out of most anything, but always use with caution as the smell can burn your eyes.

Try not to breathe in the fumes. My husband was a tool and die maker and his clothing always smelled of grease and sweat, I am not complaining, he made a very good living for us. When I finally found the ammonia trick, he always smelled good when he left for work in the morning.

Here are a few tips that might help Baking soda is your friend. Your enemy is the clothes dryer. If you have dried the garment in the clothes dryer you may have permanently set the stain.

But if not here are a couple other ideas. The first thing I would try is baking soda and water. I'd just soak the garment in a mixture of cold water and baking soda.

Maybe about a 1/2 C or so to a gallon of water. Air dry. If soaking in water and baking soda doesn't work.

Try making a paste from BS and water and rubbing it into the fabric. Leave it on for 20 to 30 minutes and then launder as usual. Air dry.

If the item is white you can have some success with hydrogen peroxide. Mix a solution of half water and half hydrogen peroxide and soak the entire item (or the stained area) for about a half hour. Wash the item in cool water and let it air dry.No dryer!

If the stain is still visible, increase the amount of Hydrogen Peroxide and soak it again. Use this technique ONLY on white items. Hydrogen Peroxide will break down the residue of the stain, but it will also break down dyes.

Air dry. Another suggestion and good for colored items is to use a solution of water and white vinegar.2 cups of water to about 4 Tablespoons of white vinegar. Soak the shirt in the solution for about a half hour and launder as usual.

Air dry. You can also use a liquid laundry detergent that contains oxygenated ingredients. Rub it directly into the stain with your fingers.

Let it soak for about half an hour then launder as usual. Air dry. Did I mention that with any stubborn stain or odor it's important to AIR DRY until you are certain you have conquered the situation.

1 Cathie's suggestions are very good too. Baking soda and ammonia and vinegar are all compatible. Bleach is not.

Peroxide is very good at removing blood stains. It is a very mild bleach and I am not sure if it is compatible with ammonia. You can add a half cup to a full cup of baking soda to the wash water with the ammonia. It might do a better job than either alone.

Good luck! .

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
