How to tell my parent I want to enlist in the Marines?

You're golden, dude. Just mention it now and again. Request Marine info in the mail.

They'll think its a phase you're going to grow out of so they won't worry about it. The flip side of that is when the time comes, they won't be surprised that's what you're doing either.

Since you are enrolled in Gates classes, are an athlete and have the initiative and drive to have started your own business, you might also want to consider earning an appointment to the Naval Academy to commission as a Marine Lieutenant. Most parents will be very proud of a son who announces that he is prepping to earn an appointment to Annapolis. A candidate for any Marine Officer Program has to have a level of physical fitness far beyond what is required to graduate Boot Camp just to be considered for selection- a first class PFT.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
