How to Write a Metaphor?

To write a metaphor, you must compare two things in a way that the thing is the same as what you are comparing it to. Example: The pay cut is a knife in the back to loyal employees. Whereas, if you say 'The pay cut is like a knife in the back to loyal employees', it is no longer a metaphor, but a simile.

To write a metaphor poem, make a list of words you like about something. Then take those words and turn them into a poem about that subject.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
