On Saturday evening, the PA lottery millionaire raffle produced four instant millionaires after its much anticipated drawing. There were also four $100,000 winners, 100 $1,000 winners and 5,892 winners of $100 payouts. Tickets for the raffle style lottery in Pennsylvania weren't cheap, as they cost $20 apiece, but were certainly well worth their price if they produced big winnings.
There were just 500,000 tickets available total and a 1-in-125,000 chance of winning the grand prizes of $1 million dollars. The Pennsylvania Lottery has been doing two raffle drawings per year ever since December of 2006. This marks the seventh consecutive time the lottery has used the system of payouts described above.
Overall chance of winning any prize were 1-in-83. More.
