How will GOP hopefuls vying for the presidency in 2012 attack Sarah Palin without alienating their own base?

I think it's too late - the traditional republicrats missed their chance. If they were going to stop her, it would have been in the runup to the 2010 elections, when she didn't have power and a Tea Party base. She has cleverly made herself powerful - with their tacit support and acquiescence, and the repubs will have a devil of a time unwinding.

I believe that the repubs thought they were being crafty and clever coopting SPalin in 2010, but in fact she was the proverbial sticking her nose in the tent. Except now she owns the tent. They were hoisted on their own petard. So for Romney (not a chance) or Pawlenty (a complete non-entity) to make any headway at all, they will need to either:- discredit SPalin in some way (scandal, etc,) or- convince her to go more mainstream.

(Hah!)Where it gets even more entertaining is the thought of who she would pick for veep. Would she pick another TP person? If so, she absolutely guarantees a loss for the Republicrats.

But if she picks a traditional republican, she (a) alienates her base, and (b) sets the stage for another odd couple scenario, like McCain did when he picked her.So in the end, I'm all for Palin for president, because her existence on the ticket in any form is Obama's green light to reelection. I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
