Because none of the thousands of gods that have been made up by man exist. How can anyone believe in a god without any evidence of any being real? How convenient that gods are invisible and everything that is promised, like an afterlife, is conveniently happening after you die?

Why do we not ever see true acts of miracles, like the end of starvation? Or god spontaneously bursting pedophile priests into flames, after all, gods are claimed as being all powerful, we never see nor hear gods communicating to us, just individuals who claim their god talks or visits them when they are alone, why doesn't a god visit everyone? It's all just mythical stories that are easy for the gullible to believe in.

None of it is true, there are no gods in existence to believe in. Sorry but that's reality!
