I am a student at the university of Mechelen, located in Belgium and I would like to spend a year abroad in the US.?

You will have to pay out-of-state tuition anywhere in the US, since you & your parents have not been residing in the US while you attended high school, and you & your parents have not been paying state income taxes. You will NOT establish residency in a state while you are a student, so you must pay out-of-state tuition for all 4 years. The only way to change to in-state tuition status would be to reside & work in a state AND pay state taxes for at least a year (some states require minimum of 2 years) prior to applying for admission.

Prove you paid state income taxes! You cannot change residency while you are a student, even if you work while in school. Note that jobs are very scarce in the US, especially for the uneducated, unskilled.

You cannot expect to find a job and earn enough to support yourself if you move to US & then try to work for at least a year prior to applying for university admission. Times are too tough for that.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
