Call the local inspector's office. Do you want more consistent hours? Quit and find a different job.

You would have to check the labor laws in your state. I believe many states have laws stating a minimum amount that your boss has to pay you for reporting to work; but I am not aware of any rules that say he can't send you home early every day. You might be able to use records of it to support a claim for unemployment compensation, though.

Check with your states labour laws,and see what ya come up with. If your union complain to the shop steward.

My son worked at a grocery store that would send people home early almost every day. He got his hours moved to fewer days...then they could not do this as much.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
