I am trying to create an install of a windows OS that is on an external USB HDD?

I see you mentioned that Windows PE is not an option, however I will suggest that you check into UBCD4Win. Thought it may not let you install every AV tool you can build add-on packages for it to increase the functionality. If you aren't happy with that solution and you really want to install onto an external USB drive (We all know windows dosnt like to boot from usb drives) You can follow this site.

downloadsquad.com/2009/08/27/make-a-boot... Lucky for you some nice person has built a little tool to make life easy ;) Ive got a old XP install that I rebuilt to be USB boot and it was a pain at the time. Ive also got one that can PXE network boot! ;).

I use ren's Boot CD and I have it one a small USB flash driver, an 80 GB external hard drive, a second partition and a cd. They all boot just fine in any pc as long as it supports the media and it wasn't a pain to install, I just copied the contents of the original cd to those places.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
