My hair has been chemically straightened but I deep condition it regularly so it's very healthy. I'm growing that out currently. I really want to have medium blonde to dark blonde hair, any help on how to do it, what products to use and anything like that would really really help me Beauty.

2 ways to go at this... Ok so you have 2 options. I’ve done both of these. I went from dark brown (almost black) natural hair color to medium blond for 6 years.

Option 1: Do it yourself. To start, it will help if you begin with "One ’n Only Colorfix" available at sallybeauty.com. This removes permanent hair color regardless of how long it has been in the hair.

This will help take the black out. This is not an absolute must do step, but it could keep you from having to bleach you hair twice. Then you’ll still need to bleach you hair blond from there.

When doing this, you will find it burns your scalp a lot less if your hair hasn’t been washed that day. The natural oils on your scalp will help protect your skin. I have used all 3 of these Clairol bleach options (other bleaches I tried just made my hair red/orange).

I personally recommend the second and third ones. 1) Born Blonde Original by Clairol - original formula for all-over blonding on light blonde to brown hair. 2) Born Blonde Ultra Blue - All-over blonding without brassiness—go from dark brown to blonde in one step 3) Born Blonde Maxi - The most blonde you could be, no matter how dark your starting color.

You’ll get maximum all-over lightening—even for the darkest hair. For use on dark blonde to black hair. Then lastly, you’ll need to chose a shade of blond hair color you want to dye your hair.

The bleach will make your hair blond, but it just takes color out, it doesn’t put any in, so you will still need to dye your hair. When choosing a blond hair color, I would recommend finding one that says it has a cool tone to it (they come in Warm, Medium and Cool tones). This will help cover any brassiness you get with bleaching your hair.

I also would not recommend bleaching your hair and coloring you hair on the same day, or you may have a burned scalp (I’ve done it, it hurts! ). I try and wait till the next day.

Finish it off with a deep conditioner and you all done. *Tip* I would have someone there to help you with the bleaching process to check to see that all of your hair gets covered. Also, while waiting for the bleach to work, take you hair dryer and us it on your hair (especially the ends) to make sure all of your hair is bleaching at the same speed (not just your scalp because it’s warm).

This works just like when they put you under the dryer at the salon. Option 2: The salon. They will do the same type of things, but they will do all the work instead of you.Be prepared to be there a few hours and spend more money.

It used to take 4 hours for them to do my hair when I went. Also, if you chose to go to a salon, spend the extra money and go to a good one who knows what they’re doing with hair coloring. I used to always go to a pricey one that charged me $115 each time, then I decided to go to the cheaper place next door one time.

The girl messed my hair up so badly they had to bring in the girls from the expensive salon next door to fix it. I spent 8 hours there that day and then they charged me double because of having to pay the salon next door to fix my hair! *Tip* One advantage to going to the salon is that they can also put in a few low lights that match your natural light brown hair color, so as your roots grow out, it won’t look you have just have a darker stripe of hair going down the middle of you head.

Good luck! With a lot of practice I got really good at dying my own hair blond for years, then went to a salon and had them do the the multi color highlights red, blond, brown thing for a while. Now I’m dying my hair what’s called espresso brown (like the darkest, warm brown you can think of).

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
