I was born in 87 and I do miss the 90s. Life just seemed more simple back then. Kids actually went outside and played instead of sitting around playing video games all day.
The cartoons were a lot better and it was actually worth getting up early every Saturday to watch them. Disney is ruined and the shows on now are so stupid. When I look at how life was when I was a kid, I can't believe how much has changed since then.
Oh, I definitely would rather be a teen now days. Now days the kids are pretty sophisticated and got their own stuff going that I think makes me proud to think of ourselves back then as "Atomic Punks," cuz we kind of started the whole rebel without a clue anti-culture movement and dark musical drug subculture underground at the same time thing, and... No, I do not feel sorry for them, although it does seem 'tarded to mix Nyquil with Malt LIquor and then use it to give themselves an enema, I'm just sayin'. (whaw?).
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
