I have a cable modem (connected by ethernet to my laptop), but I want to go wireless. What are my next steps?

First make sure the laptop is connected to the internet and has a wifi card installed or a wifi adapter second download this program called connectify ( http://download.cnet.com/Connectify/3000... third install the program and follow the set up steps this program allows for the internet connected to the laptop to be broadcasted as a wifi hotspot if you need help email me at [email protected] I am a professsional when it comes to doing this ahah.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
