I have just published a hub with my own prose previously posted on Gather. Why am I flagged?

If you are talking about a "duplicate" flag - it's because the prose has been published before. Hubpages does not make allowances for you publishing your material a second time. It may be your work; but, if you have published it previously on the web, Hubpages will flag it.

What pippap said is 100% correct. In additional to HubPages flagging you for duplicate content, your Google ranking will also be hurt because Google sees the second publication as non-original content.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
