I have lied to my husband over our finances more than once. How can I regain his trust and stop?

One of the reason finances are such a damaging issue amongst married couples is that it follows an assumption of guilt and responsibility. Being honest is a start, but in order to gain his trust - and more importantly, reaffirm your trust in him - you need to share the financial tasks. If only one person in the household is managing funds, there is always going to be an underlying sense of distrust.

Keep the books open. Removing the blinders prevents the opportunity to be dishonest, and allows him to see where problems exist, and help to fix them.

That's simple, try being honest with yourself and ask yourself would you appreciate it if someone had lied to you about the very same thing. Be sincere when you inform your husband of the true nature of your finances and let him know that this is where you both stand. He can either take it or lump it.

I would say the best way to start is by starting to tell the truth, even if it hurts. Trust is a deep and complicated bound. Once you break it you’ll have to earn its return.

Nevertheless, today is most certainly the best day for you to start! In this things always choose today in spite of tomorrow! King Regards!

Just make sure you say the truth to the maximum possible extent.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
