That is all up to the country where you're ordering from. Some countries prohibit certain items from being imported. For example, recently I found out that books are not to be imported to India because India is protecting its own book publishers.
Likewise, in the Middle East, some jewelry can't be imported because there are local deals of that jewelry in those countries that are being protected. So it's not Amazon. If Amazon shipped them, the items will be confiscated by customs. So Amazon is trying to keep you from being disappointed when your stuff is grabbed by customs.
A waterproof map of Costa Rica, a Lensimatic compass, and a silk money belt..all denied me by Amazon.. doesn't make sense. My customs in Canada would care less about a map of COsta Rica..the seller by the way was very surprised and promised to find out what the heck Amazon is up to.. and he sent me my map . Oh and I been using AMazonfor about 10 year.
This is new s*&t man. Thanks Deke 13 months ago .
Well, it's possible Canada is protecting its own publishers of maps and traveling products. You mentioned that a seller is involved. Is he in the US or another country?
International law gets crazy sometimes. You should look for stuff that is shipped by Amazon Canada.
Thanks. The Amazon Canada site is a pale imitation. There's no publishers issue. It's a map!
Besides they did the same thing to me, after 10 years of ordering from them btw, with a Lensimatic Compass (non military $7.99! LOL) they wouldn't send, and a Samsonite Moneybelt! Go figure.
There's something else at work for sure. Why should I now after all these years go to a different Amazon Site?(Just so you know the Lenismatic compass people are prepared to ship immediate fomr their own store.. and the moneybelt I got from a non Amazon site in Toronto) Oh yes- the map! He and I e-mailed, I sent him a Western Union and 3 days later I got my map.
He is really zizzed and is supposed to be contacting Amazon as to why his maps aren't shipping here and probably the rest of the world too the truth be known. Again thanks for your reply . Deke 13 months ago .

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
