I may be missing something, but what the Hell was so "Great" about the worldwide depression of 1930--41?

There was nothing great about The Great Depression. The "great" in The Great Depression, was used in reference to size. Alot of countries were affected by this depression for give or take a decade, hence the greatness."The depression had devastating effects in virtually every country, rich and poor.

International trade plunged by half to two-thirds, as did personal income, tax revenue, prices and profits. Cities all around the world were hit hard, especially those dependent on heavy industry. Construction was virtually halted in many countries.

Farming and rural areas suffered as crop prices fell by approximately 60 percent. Facing plummeting demand with few alternate sources of jobs, areas dependent on primary sector industries such as farming, mining and logging suffered the most.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
