I need help choosing a MAJOR! Double major- International Business and Business Economics OR Medical Field? I had decided double majoring and learning Chinese Mandarin but I don't like to lie, manipulate or cheat people.

I feel great guilt in the smallest of things that I find unjust. I really want to help people and genuinely care for their well being and bettering lives so I was thinking maybe something in the medical field. However, I don't know if my assumptions about business being a "dog eat dog world" is right.

Help? PLEASE! PS: I still plan on learning Mandarin.

Well, you need to pick something you like to do, because this is what you are going to be doing for the rest of your life. If you like both of these, then I would pick something in the medical field. You can always get a job if you are an PA or MA or a nurse, or anything else, no matter where you go.

People are always going to get sick, and need medical care. Always.

I am not at all sure that becoming a medical professional is a good way to avoid having ot lie cheat or steal. Getting your practice accepted in a community means creating the illusion of care for the poor while not actually referring them for much of the care they need. Insurance companies, health plans and conservative political leaders will pressure you to just let them go without care until they run to an emergency room in a larger city where they can handle it more easily.

Pharmaceutical companies and HMO's will make you lie cheat and steal to keep your head above water or have enough funding to actually help those in need. I would go with business because after the Tea Party cuts the funding for health care so oil companies can keep their tax break on billion dollar windfall profits they will cry about the cost gram ma's false teach and stop her diabetes care cutting years off here life making her sickly and want to die. They will arrest you and put for in prison for helping her die of their indirect murder with a little dignity so she can leave something besides debt to her children.

I would definitely do with business if I were you.

Do what you like not what someone tells you to take. The happiest people are those that wake up looking forward to going to work not dreading it. Doing what you like and actually getting paid for it.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
