Perhaps one of Susan Cooper's books (from the Dark is Rising series) I can't recall which in the series (I don't think it was "Greenwich" though, and I am sure it wasn't "The Grey King"), but there was a point in one of the books the children used a horn to call forth the hunt. The children often went to visit or on vacation where their "grandfather" was (who wasn't really their grandfather but a long-time family friend; they actually though him more of a great-uncle). I'm thinking most likely it would have been "The Dark is Rising" or "Silver on the Tree," but either way, if the one you want is part of this series you would want to read the whole thing.

The series is "Over Sea, Under Stone," "The Dark is Rising," "Greenwitch," "The Grey King" and "Silver on the Tree. " It wasn't really a monster that was called forth by the horn, but a horned man, who was on the side of wild magic.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
