I started my Yaz pill for the first time on the day my period started. It is now day 10 and I still have my period. Why?

1 Well, I don't know. From what I have heard, Yaz can have some odd side effects, and a 10 day period, while not unheard of, isn't really a good thing. Does the package insert say anything about excessive bleeding when you first start the pills?

Are you having other issues besides a prolonged period? I would not worry myself to death over this, but it might be worth a call to whomever perscribed the pills, just to make sure.

2 I have had flu like symptoms since ive started it. And some headaches. It doesn't say anything about prolonged bleeding .

3 Read the instructions... I don't think your supposed to start any birth control pills while on your period.

Continue taking the pill every day roughly within the same time of day within one hour. The pill takes a few cycles to bring your body under its control so right now there is a struggle that's why you're having bleeding. The main thing is you can not count on this for birth control until all this nonsense stops.

You must use condoms these first 2-3 months until the irregular bleeding has ended and you only see any bleeding during the "period week". If you experience bleeding in week 2 and then it stops you still need to use condoms the rest of that cycle. Because of all this irregular bleeding you are having now you may not have much of a period in the off week.

See how it goes in the second cycle, there should be an improvement. Typically side effects (bleeding ) are common in month one, get better in month two, and what you see in month three is what you will live with. If there is no improvement you should call your doctor as they might want to try a different pill.

Each pill is a little bit different of a "recipe". Sometimes it is a trial and error before you find one that is well suited for your body. Use condoms until you know you can trust this pill.

If you forget a pill then take it as soon as you remember and take the next days pill on time. If you forget a pill you may have bleeding and need to use condoms. If you don't take the pill the same time each day you might have bleeding and (you guessed it...) need to use condoms for the rest of the cycle.

Taking the pill correctly requires discipline and committment on your part that might sound like a hassel, but once you get in a routine the protection from pregnancy and regulation of your periods will be well worth it.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
