You will probably have to either wait for the dye to leave your hair and then start fresh, or your other option is probably going to require having the black color lifted, or stripped from your hair before you can adequately lighten it.

I have attempted to lighten black hair before with red dye and it was unsuccessful, and I was told that it was not going to work (by my regular hairdresser) until the black dye was out of my hair. I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
