You'll want to check with your local state regulations regarding incorporation, and with any restrictions or requirements they may have for being designated a non-profit. It will require your articles of incorporation and company by-laws to be written in a fashion to reflect non-profit status. In order to quality for tax exemptions or to allow people to write off their donations, you would apply for 501c3 Tax Exemption status through the IRS.As you do not care about this, you will not need to petition for this status, but instead fill out the paperwork for a regular tax ID.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
