I wonder what an atheist nativity scene would look like...?

Actually, it is more pagan, and of course, scientific. December 25th is actually the New Year as it is the day that the days start getting longer -- the true rebirth of the earth. December 21/Solstice is the day the earth "hangs" in its orbit on its extreme axial tilt.

It is a reminder that Earth's tilt as it rotates on its axis is the reason we have the Winter Solstice. It is the reason for the festivities this time of year, including pagan and christian celebration.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
