I don't think he is a misogynist in a true sense of the "hating women" type dictionary standard. I do wonder about him though politically. He's a conservative politician and the conservatives (given their name) tend to have a more conservative social view point on the world.
He's not the only one, nor is this typical to just Australia. John Howard had very 1950's views, American conservatives (often religious) tend to go down conservative point of view. That often is represented as "family values" and "men work, women are homemakers" He seems to have some attachment to those 1950's gender stereotypes, not as much the last 2 years or so but he did make some gaffes a few years back about women homemakers and only women doing housework When he was in the government (Health and wherever else) he seemed to rely a little too heavily on religion making noises that were very pro life and very anti choice.
I think most would prefer lower abortion rates but instead of taking away the choice maybe go for methods to reduce (eg education or easier acess to contraception etc) I don't know if he is sexist. But sometimes I wonder. And nope not a Labour voter either...
Of course he isn't. Labor wants to make Australian men seem and feel sexist for saying anything bad about Gillard and/or Labor. The bottom line is that Tony Abbott is a fundamentally decent man, okay, he may have some fairly traditional views, but in no way does he hate women, and nor do I think that he is in any way sexist, either.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
