But you DO have to declare the Child Support YOU receive as income on your taxes. And you get a tax deduction for each child. And HE gets to deduct that amount from HIS income on HIS income taxes.
But he does not get tax deduction for any child. Unless he has full-custody of them (in which case, YOU are paying HIM Child Support). What I want to know .. if why is your husband concerned about YOUR taxes?
It is none of HIS business. Your taxes are between you and the IRS.
Most single people receiving the child support do claim it as income and the payer declares it and is usually considered a tax right off.
I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
