If an author uses a pen name to write a book, what are the odds that the author's real name will be found out?

Yes, I probably would in this case. I write mostly fantasy, but I have written some historical fiction short stories and I have historical fiction novel length ideas I plan to write some day. Although, I plan to use a pen name for anything I publish.

One author that did that that comes to mind is Janet Evanovich. She used a pen name for some romance novels she wrote while using her real name for her mysteries. It was only later when she was very successful that the books she wrote under her pen name (I think it was Effie Hall) were revealed to be hers.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
