When you get your new copy of iTunes to your laptop, look at the bar in the far top left corner with all the options. Authorize it with your account, so it knows it's your iPod. OR when the iTunes detects your iPod, look for the option "transfer all purchases."
OR you can do it the old fashioned way, since your music is not bought on iTunes, copy them all to your new Laptop, set iTunes as your "Default Player" and sync them again. Hope this helps :).
I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
