If intelligent life from other planets exist...?

Well it's really a two part question. Is there life, even intelligent life, out there? Probably.

No one can say for certain but like you said given the sheer scale of the universe it's a good bet. But, going to life to life that can and has visited the Earth is an even bigger stretch for a couple of reasons. First of all, actually travelling the distances involved in less than geologic time scales would require a means of travelling faster than light.

As far as we know that's not even within the laws of physics. So that could be one possibility, it's just too far. The other kind of obvious solution is that even if there is a species that has interstellar travel, why the hell would they visit us?

If they have that kind of technology, they might as well be gods. We would be so far beneath them we probably aren't interesting enough to them to warrant a visit.

It is hard for us to imagine other life. This is evident by sy-fy movies that always depict aliens with arms, legs, mouths, eyes, ears, et cetera, all placed in the same locations as ourselves. But intelligent life can mean many things.

On another planet, dolphins (as an example) would be considered intelligent life because of their social groups, coordinated survival skills, and learning ability. But of course, dolphins are not capable of building anything and have no interest in space. Again, we assume an alien life would be capable of building things and would have an interest in space, because we do.

When actually this possibility is quite remote. I don't think we've ever been visited before because we are so far out and so far away from everything in our galaxy, even if there were aliens with the capabilities we'd like to imagine they had. Plus our atmosphere below 8,000 feet is a very toxic soup to any life not from here.

It's loaded with pollens, bacteria, and molds that would quickly over come any life that didn't evolve here as we did, and have the same anti-bodies and inner defenses life here does.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
