If someone already has their picture beside one of the questions, can I still try to answer it or do they have sole rights?

There and welcome to Mahalo. You can absolutely ask and/or answer any question you like. We have open and closed questions.. open questions have not had a "best answer" decided yet and you can answer any and as many of them as you can in hopes of getting the best answer (How To Get A Best Answer On Mahalo)... the closed questions have already been decided and a best answer selected however you still can answer any and as many of these as you can .. unfortunately you will not be eligible to receive the best answer or the tip because the question is closed and decided.

Forgive the length of this question, but please ignore my degree from Columbia University and just try to treat me like an idiot. How do I go about doing this in the easiest way possible to process dozens of pictures under a CC-BY-SA 3.0 License and the GFDL if PD-art qualifies under this label? Thank you so much for any help you can provide.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
