If someone asks to use my cell phone, could they be scamming me? If so, how? Other than just running off with it, how?

WARNING; I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE IF YOU DO SOMETHING STUPID WITH THIS INFORMATION. YOU'RE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR OWN DOINGS. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED: A way they could scam you is if they know the debug code of the maker of your particular cell phone.

With this special code, that you can easily find online, you can check the Mobile ID number. (This number is used by Service Providers for your cell phone activity) If they are knowledgeable, they can memorize this code off your cell phone, and input it into their own phone, making the Service Provider think that their phone is yours. You can probably imagine the rest.

They could make Calls, Long Distance calls, text message, use you're data, web browse etc. All under /YOUR/ name. I believe the only way this can be prevented is if you have a SIM card. If you are using a Service Provider that does not use SIM cards, you might be at risk.

Depends on how much time they spend and what type of phone you have. If you own an iphone, it might be easier to log into your social networking accounts and make your life a little more colorful. If they get your phone number, it could be sold to telemarketers.

Or just used as their telephone number when they want to sign up for things. Or they could just make a long distance phone call and use up a lot of minutes talking. You could also end up with your messages being fwd.To their email.

Same goes for pictures kept on your cellphone. Or maybe your sim card could be taken out and all the numbers you had would be theirs also. Really there are a lot of possibilities, there are a lot of factors that contribute to answering this question, I hoped I helped you.

They can tell you where the phone number is registered. If you’ve been a victim of the “one-ring” scam, try to resolve the charges with your cell phone carrier. If that doesn’t work, file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission and the Federal Communications Commission.

And as a general rule: Read your phone bill often — line by line. If you don’t recognize or understand a charge, contact your carrier. I’ve got to go now; my cell phone is ringing.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
