If the states have sobriety checkpoints, why cant they conduct illegal alien checkpoints?

That's the law across America. Unlicensed and uninsured drivers when stopped are in trouble. My take is I guess they would rather have the roads be full of drunk drivers, no licenses, no insurance so the illegals can drive without any consequences . Why are the illegals here anyway.

They hate our laws. They cry racism when they have any encounters with the police. It's almost as if their message is, you don't stop us, you allow us to do whatever we want.

The opens border lobby is saying it is o.k. To break the law and it is ok to drive without a license and insurance, its ok to be in America illegally and if stopped you claim racism and profiling . These laws were being enforced way before this new wave of illegals came here and it's nothing new under the sun.

Illegals just do not think the laws applies to them, if they indicate , poor, poor me.. That's why they have the bus, taxi's, walking..Where are all the church members and supporters of illegals at, they can drive them around.. Our lives should not be put in danger, because these illegals have issues with how our laws work..Why does every arrest of an illegal result in either racism or profiling and never about what the actual laws are?

Our "thoughts" about DUI checkpoints will not outweigh the opinion of the Supreme Court. Sobriety checkpoints have been held to be constitutional by the U.S. Supreme Court (496 U.S. 444, Michigan Dept. Of Public Safety v.

Sitz (1990)). In Texas, sobriety checkpoints are currently illegal because in 1994 the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals ruled that, according to the U.S. Supreme Court, sobriety checkpoints cannot be used unless there are approved statewide procedures for conducting sobriety checkpoints. The Texas Court of Criminal Appeals did not say that it disagreed with the idea of sobriety checkpoints, but instead, that it believes that statewide guidelines must be in place before they are held in communities.

Sobriety checkpoints increase the perceived risk of apprehension for motorists who might drive after drinking. Evidence shows that the use of checkpoints has a marked, dramatic effect on reducing the number of alcohol-related crashes in a community.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
