If you could renovate only one room in your house, which room would it be?

Kitchen, for sure. We have nice appliances, but the countertops are 4"x4" tiles and I would like to have a smooth surface, and the cabinets, although quite nice, need to be revarnished. The cabinets are a varnished maple, the appliances are white, the floors are pale hardwood, and I think a brown marble would be great for the countertops.

Bathroom which we will be doing this fall. I can't wait because this is what I do for a living so I want to make our bathroom amazing. Now if my wife could only decide on which kind and color of tile.

It would definately need to be my loo (bathroom). I would basically rip it all out and have it rebuilt from scratch to my specifications. It would be at at lease twice the size it is now and I would have it built so that the place isn't freezing in the winter.

I also like the thought of having nice plants in the bathroom, but the one I've got there's really no room for them and in winter it's too cold.

Definitely the bathroom. There isn't much space to add things, but I would love to have a soaking tub, new toilet, more and adjustable lighting, a new vanity, and a nicer mirror (preferably one that make you look ten pounds thinner).

It woud be our family room as there is no insulaltion and gets way too cold during the winter tme.

I currently don't own but when I do buy a home I want a nice kitchen and a stunning bathroom. I would probably end up going with the bathroom though. I would install a vanity by the sink with a his and hers sink on each side.

The I would have a nice big glass shower separate from the tub. I would also get a custom, small waterfall in the wall. I have so many ideas for someone who don't own.Haha.HGTV.Com has awesome tips for anyone who is looking to remodel and on a budget!

I think I would renovate the master's bedroom like this one.

I guess it depends upon your ultimate reason for renovating. Is this simply for you, or is it also to create long term value in your home. Either way what will provide the best long term benefit is always working on bathrooms and kitchens...

I will go with the living room as it is a multi-purpose room in any home.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
