You're in Jersey. There's only one that I'd suggest I’m in Jersey too. Commerce bank.

They have the most slammin’ hours of any bank I’ve ever seen. They’re even open on Sunday. You can have fee free checking(fee free debit Visa),money market accounts and a savings account.

HSBC You say some other banks are better, such as "friendier", "loca", "neighborhood"... To me the bottom line is cost and convenience. HSBC small business checking account is free for everyone, and they have enough branches around.

For me, this would mean I would strongly consider Wells Fargo based on location and convenience. I already have a personal account with the bank. Their fee structure isn't the best, but their locations and convenience win out.

For low fees, I would go with Emigrant Direct or Everbank. Both of these institutions are pretty much free and FDIC insured. Emigrant Bank has a 5.05% APR/APY on savings accounts and transfers are free of charge.

For checking, Everbank offers an interest yielding account and there is a bonus if you cancel within a given time frame. I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
