If you were unfamiliar with Mahalo and you opened up a Mahalo page you came across in Google, what would be your thoughts?

I can give a good firsthand account in this area as this is exactly how I found Mahalo. I stumbled onto Mahalo through a Google search for video game walkthroughs. The very first impression I got from a Mahalo page I found through searching Google was the Resistance 2 Walkthrough way back in March.

This page was comprehensive and very helpful. I was able to extract the exact information I needed and expected to from the page. The first impression was great as it was kept me coming back to Mahalo for 2 more months just using that walkthrough along with a couple of others that were equally comprehensive. It was at the end of March when I encountered my first need to ask a question regarding a Mahalo page (Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08) and it was then I started in Mahalo Answers.

So my first good impressions and experiences with a Mahalo page is exactly the reason I am still here. Edit~ I found that first question, it seems the page did not have the information on where to type the cheat codes. http://www.mahalo.com/answers/video-games/where-do-you-type-cheat-passwords-on-the-ps3 Where do you type the cheat passwords on the PS3?

That question was answered correctly by @pirate.

I have a less positive story than Budda :( I did stumble on Mahalo far before it was suggested by a writer on one of my content sites. I believe I was looking for some information on a particular anime though I've forgotten which now, it's been some time. I remember it was mahalo because I was confused at the purpose of the site.

Now I understand I had stumbled on an unbuilt page.. someone had searched it on Mahalo and a page existed but it had no content just links about the anime. I was annoyed I thought Mahalo was spam and there after avoided Mahalo search result links. I don't recal seeing the "claim this page" or anything indicating the page was incomplete.

I think how someone would react to mahalo would depend on which page they landed on. If you got a well written page up to Mahalo's standards, I'm sure you'd come back and find it useful. If you found and unbuilt or badly built page you may never come back again.

I think Mahalo is stepping in the right direction with their efforts to clean up quality. If we can assure every page a user lands on is helpful and complete, reaction two won't be a concern.

During the time I stumbled upon Mahalo, I thought it was like Wikipedia but with added flare. What makes it different is that, it has a wide range of coverage such as relevant updated information, links, images, videos and latest news. When I become a member of Mahalo, I was very amazed because I realized that I was given an opportunity to learn in managing pages that I haven't thought possible.

Unlike creating your own website, where you post ads from Google Adsense, in Mahalo, its a two way process. You manage a page and Mahalo post the ads from Google. The payment process in Mahalo is simple not like in Google adsense where it is a little bit complicated. At the rate I am going, I am sure I will be with Mahalo in the present and into the future.

With its three pillars: Mahalo answers, page management, and how to tasks, it is like a pyramid that can withstand the test of time.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
