Let's start at the beginning, of course, and end with the present. What would your theme song be? What songs/compositions would represent the highs and lows of your life?
What would be playing as the credits rolled? Asked by McBean 56 months ago Similar questions: life movie songs included soundtrack Entertainment > Music.

I'm glad you asked In the field of music therapy, this is akin to a technique called a "Sound " that tells the story of your life through pre-composed songs and significant sounds (such as the coo of a baby, the laughter of your partner, etc. ) It is often used with people who are known as 'normal neurotics,' that is, individuals who are functioning in the world and also receiving some kind of supportive therapy. When I was in graduate school, I did one as an assignment. The interesting thing is that my sound history today would be very different from my sound history of twenty years ago in graduate school.
My sound history today would be something like this: The first song that I remember having an impact on me was in sixth grade, it was "I Can See Clearly Now," a song that was popular in the early seventies. It was an important moment; the first time I realized with absolute certainty that music was going to be a big part of my life. Through my pre-teen years I was heavily into John Denver, the most significant song being "Sunshine On My Shoulders.
" In high school, I related to the song "The Stranger" by Billy Joel, it talks about hiding who you really are from people, something I did for many years as a survivor of abuse. After graduating from college and entering graduate school, I was seriously messed up (partly due to my childhood trauma and partly due to a family crisis). I related heavily to the song "Wallflower" by Peter Gabriel (a very disturbing song, check out the lyrics and you'll see).
Afte being in therapy for many years, I finally started to be open to more positive music; my current favorite being "Unspeakable Joy," a club dance song that I heard in a movie called "Trick," it's on the soundtrack but I don't remember the artist. The song that would be playing when the credits roll is a Quaker song that has also been done as a gospel hymn and I think a version has been recorded by the Irish singer who tore up a picture of the Pope (sorry, I can't think of her name and that's the most distinctive thing people remember about her). It's called "How Can I Keep From Singing?
"- "My life flows on in endless song; how can I keep from singing? No storm can shake my inmost calm; how can I keep from singing?" And...........curtain!

First songs I remember listening to over & over (& over). Other kids were listening to "How Much Is That Doggy In The Window", and other kid stuff. I guess my parents were hippies, and I remember asking my uncle why he "shared" some cigarrettes.....I was all of 4-5 years old and I could not get enough of these albums: Beatles White Album Rolling Stones Let It Bleed The Who Tommy In 1973 I got a hand-me-down stereo for my room, and also had a pretty good transistor radio that I attached to my bike.
AM radio was still king(KXOK St. Louis MO! )- so on my bike I heard: Terry Jacks "Seasons In The Sun" Paper Lace "The Night Chicago Died" Sugarloaf "Don’t Call Us (We’ll Call You)" Of course in the house FM reigned supreme (KSLQ FM 98, and later KWK Radio) and I remember being fascinated by: Pink Floyd "Dark Side of the Moon" Steely Dan "Can’t Buy A Thrill" I spent my own money to buy my first albums. Anyone in St. Louis remember Streetside Records?

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
