I was told and have read that you are suppose to feed your newborn baby every 2 to 3 hours. She is now sound asleep and has been sleeping for the past 3 hours. Should we wake her up for a feeding or let her just sleep until she wakes up by herself and then feed her then.

You should... Let her sleep, as this is the time when she will grow and it’s the best time for you and your wife to get caught up on some rest. I highly reccomend that you allow your new baby to get her share of sleep, check on her periodically and when she is well rested, hungry or wet she will let you know, as she will wake up crying! Congratulations on your new bundle of joy!
How old is she now? Let’s just hope that her three hour sleep patterns are occurring at night! She sounds like a very good sleeper already, you are very lucky!
My oldest son, Matthew slept well and it actually scared me...because I panicked one day when he slept longer than his usual schedule one day. I allowed him to sleep and he ended up sleeping a total of four hours straight. I had inquired about this incident to his pediatrician, and was instructed to use my spare time wisely.
I usually found nap time to be of great help for me to delegate my housework, or I would rest up for the next round of motherly duties. The only time that I would think you should wake a sleeping baby is if he/she is a preemie or when a baby is not maintaining weight properly and needs to be fed on a timed schedule ordered by a doctor. I will keep your new baby in my prayers, and I wish you and your wife the very best!

My gut instinct tells me to let her sleep. Now after saying that, how big is she. A small baby say four pounds or under needs to be fed every three hours and as she grows and gains weight you can stretch the feeding times.
This is what my daughter-in-law has done with her son who was six weeks preemie and started life at four pounds 13 ozs. I know the goal is to get the wee ones to sleep, especially at night, but if she sleeps too much it might interfere with her getting enough nourishment. You might be lucky and have a sleeper. As a wise old doctor once told me, go with your gut feelings.
Even a new parent has instincts about how to raise a child and common sense has a lot to do with it. When in doubt, check with your pediatrician. Sources: life experience.
No.... I have a two and a four year old, and I read the same stuff too. We must have been reading the same websites and the same books because I saw that everywhere. In my opinion regardless of the numerous times I read that, I never woke my babies up just to feed them.
I figure, if they are hungry, they will wake and let me know. (maybe that's why I have such good sleepers...) they were sleeping through the night from the beginning..... babies bodies are very ntuitive and they will let you know if they need anything..... just love them, care for them, and nurture them..... they'll love you for it! Also, anytime your kid rests, you rest too!
Don't be doing any housework..... you may be tempted, but taking care of yourself as well as your newborn is VERY important! Sources: me .
Nah..just pump or get some sleep Babies will let you know when they're hungry. If you or your wife is nursing, I can see why she might want to feed the baby before she explodes. Hopefully she has a pump, because babies seem to change their eating habits, cycles, preferences and schedules.
Mine is 8 and he hasn't stopped yet. I would say just SLEEP while you can :) Sources: just my own .
My baby is three months old and I generally don't and haven't woken her for feeding. My baby was a bit jaundiced after she was born so I was told then to wake her to make sure she fed because the jaundice made her sleepy. After that I just did the change, feed, play routine, and I still do that now - she just stays up for longer periods of time.
We have a monitor that has sensors that will make an alarm go off if there is no movement (breathing) for 15 seconds. That is great peace of mind, so if you are worried about that I would suggest in investing in something similar. Otherwise, be thankful for the sleep you get and enjoy every minute of your new baby!
All the best.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
