I'm refinishing my kitchen cabinets how do I get the stain out of the wood? It's oak?

Stain markers that Minwax sells. They also work great for coloring scratches. Hard clear coating.

Readily in lacquer thinner. That the finish isn't lacquer. But lacquer is not as durable as urethane.

Catalyzed or cross-linked lacquers may be more durable. Your cabinets with a spray can. The patch will blend in with the original finish.

And then spray the entire door with a final coat of lacquer. I would prefer to refinish the entire surface of each door. Lacquer can be hazardous.

Spray finishing locations. Doors and millwork is just plain old urethane. Can usually see the boundaries of the new spot.

Quick light sanding of the old finish and apply a complete new coat. "feather" it so there are no stark transitions. You will begin to remove some of the stain.

Least 2 coats of urethane, 3 or 4 coats on high-traffic areas. Perfect, but they won't look scratched up either. Is sheen (shininess or gloss level).
