In soccer, what is the difference between a winger and a midfielder?

In soccer you will often hear of a 4-4-2 formation, which means 4 defenders, 4 midfielders and 2 forwards. Focusing on the 4 midfield players in this formation, yes, 2 of them are wingers. One on the left wing / flank (Andres Guardado is usually in this position), and the other on the right.

Sometimes they will be called the left-sided and / or right-sided midfielder. The other two midfield players are central midfielders (usually one defensive, one attacking). Central midfielders are completely distinct from wingers, so no, not all midfielders are wingers.

(This image shows the two wingers with arrows) Are all wingers midfielders? In essence, yes, but a manager may opt to play his wingers in more advanced positions to the point where they are almost (or actually) forwards . .. 4-2-4 and 4-3-3 are examples of formations where this can happen.

Having said all that, the area a winger tends to cover during the match is always different to the central midfield players. Central midfielders will spend most of the match in and around the middle third of the field. Wingers will spend the majority of the match in their opponent's half.

They are expected to run down the wing and take on opposing defenders. Central midfielders are expected to win possession and / or distribute. For me, the best winger in the world right now is Franck Ribery of France and Bayern Munich.

WINGER: A winger also called midfielder or wide midfielder is a midfielder located on the wing of the midfield. A winger never is an OUTSIDE midfielder. MIDFIELDER: A midfielder or wide midfielder is a midfielder located on the OUTSIDE midfield and the winger.(A midfielder may be a winger but an winger never be a true midfielder).

The outside midfielder must be very fit and is supposed to be active in both. images.google.com.bd/images?hl=en&q=wing....

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
