In your opinion, what is the most ingenious concept introduced by J. K. Rowling in the Harry Potter books?

Personally I think it is the concept of owl post - not only that owls deliver the mail but that they know mysteriously where every recipient is even if (like Sirius Black) the recipient doesn't necessarily want to be found. The strong bonds of the Secret Keeper and the Unbreakable Vow What an amazing power and bond that can be created by a few magic words. It really elevates the magical world she created from a bunch of magic tricks to really a cosmic force. The fact that the Secret Keeper is the only one who can reveal a location, and the idea of a promise so strong that the vow maker has no choice but to keep his/her word. It's amazing and powerful magic.

And the way she weaves them into the plotline is superb. Man, I am a fan of Rowling's. Ok, I'm off to go read Goblet of Fire!

.

There have been so many. Quidditch is absolutely incredible, so well thought out and detailed. The port keys are wonderful, using every day objects to serve as a teleportation device.

The Weasley's clock, telling where everyone is all the time. The fact that people living in the paintings and pictures are actually active and (at least semi) alive and even able to move between pictures! But I think my favorite is that wizards and muggles live side by side in the world and neither one knows or understands much about the other group (if they know anything at all!

) Sources: The Harry Potter books, of course .

Floo powder I think the idea of floo powder is pretty ingenious. It allows for instantaneous travel, but it's still got issues just like "regular" transportation. Okay, instead of the trains running late, you might have a location that's off the floo network.

Instead of missing your stop, you speak unclearly and end up down Knockturn alley. Instead of running out of gas, you use up all your floo powder. I think this is a great idea and is a great idea with touches of realism by not making it a "perfect" solution.

I am actually pretty bother by the introduction in Book 4 of portkeys. It seems like a cheat in a way, and was just introduced as a plot point for the end of the book to get Harry out of the maze and over to Voldemort. I much prefer the floo powder for instantaneous transportation than portkeys.

Plus, how funny was it when all the Weasleys ended up stuck behind the electric fireplace at the Dursleys? Floo powder is an ingenious concept, if only for the humor in that one episode :) What_A_Card's Recommendations Tinactin Super Absorbent Antifungal Powder, 3.8-Ounce Bottles (Pack of 3) Amazon List Price: $23.97 Average Customer Rating: 5.0 out of 5 (based on 1 reviews) This came up in my search for "floo powder". I don't know, I doubt it would work to get you from place to place, but you never know until you try!.

Well in the interest of answering the question as it was intended, I would have to say the wizarding methods of travel. I've never heard of using a special powder to travel through a network of fireplaces, or bespelling an object to make it so that it will transport you to a certain destination upon physical contact. And disappearing into thin air, only to reappear somewhere else!

I'm not sure if these ideas are inspired by something or completely her own, but they are very creative and I love how she introduced various travel methods, and the rule and restrictions for all of those, instead of just one method for everyone. I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
