Yes, so different that I have stopped watching the game since I heard about the corruption in players. I was of an opinion that sports men are the best class of human beings with a high moral back ground.
The media hype about spot fixing may lead to the casual fans feeling like that . But the cricket fans that are passionate followers of the game simply know that some bad elements in the game have always been involved . Its that these T20 leagues have made it a large scale thing lately.
The international matches are mostly clean these days because the ICC anti corruption unit has been strongly builiding measures after the 2001 Cronje scandal . But yes in the domestic t20 leagues i'm always doubtful about every match not only because its crowded with cricketers from different countries joining up as teammates with no real purpose except money, but on top of that there is no established anti corruption committee seeing it. The glamor shows and parties of team managements work like a smoke to hide it all .
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
