Is a criminal justice degree necessary to get into the police academy/to become a police officer?

Any training and knowledge you can gain in a specific area will help you with that job. That being said, I have had a very successful law enforcement career with never taking a criminal justice class. My degree was in psychology.

This has helped me a lot. A lot of agencies are now requiring college credits, but not necessarily credits in criminal justice. My personal opinion is that the broader your background, the better you will do in any of your chosen careers.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
