The Republican Party is all about a particular agenda. It has mostly to do with concentrating wealth. During campaigns Republican candidates always promise tax cuts for all, but EVERY Republican tax 'reform' proposal has the 'incidental' effect of shifting the burden of taxation off the rich and corporations and onto the middle class.
Ronald Reagan's tax plan was promised to be a flat tax, 'tax cuts across the board'. It turned out to be exactly the opposite. Gazillionaires got big cuts, the middle class saw a dozen tax increases.
But these days they don't even try to hide it. Herman Cain's 9-9-9 tax plan clearly, openly raised taxes on the middle class. Romney and Santorum's tax ideas also openly shift the burden of taxation.
And that's -before- the election. As these bills went through Congress they'd get all kinds of little special breaks and doodads added to them which would shift the tax burden even more. Plus, as we've seen in the last 30 years now, Republicans only really care about budget deficits when they're out of office.
Democrats do nothing but make it harder to keep costs low and expand the labor force. We need a fair tax system where everyone pays the same percent. Government will soon learn to operate with in that budget and we would all be better off.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
