Bicycling is good exercise, or can be. But remember that being on wheels is like being on your feet. On your feet you can run, jog, march, walk, amble.
Ambling is not nearly as much exercise as jogging. On a bike, the amount of exercise also depends upon how fast you go and how far. Two big advantages to bikes are that they are non-impact (unless you fall over) so your feet, ankles, and knees are not constantly pounded and that you actually can get useful distances.So you can bike to get somewhere while getting your exercise at the same time.
A big drawback is if you have to ride in traffic. You can do it, and you can be reasonably safe, but it is not nearly as pleasant or safe as riding on a bicycle trail or in a park. Those guys in the photo should be wearing helmets.
It doesn't help having a healthy heart and legs if your skull is smashed in. Modern helmets are light and comfortable.
I think that bike riding can be more healthy than walking or jogging, but at the same time more dangerous. A person can walk and jog on the sidewalk, out of harms way from cars. Biking on the other hand is often done on the streets.So you have to be more careful, making sure to obey the laws of the road and wear a helmet for a bit of safety.

A safe way to bike is to have a stationary bike that you use in your home.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
