Is it necessary for a US business to issue a 1099-misc form for services performed by a Canadian company?

The vendor has said no, but I want to be certain. They have no US Tax ID number, but it seems the income needs to be reported somewhere. Asked by Tina817 47 months ago Similar questions: business issue 1099 misc form services performed Canadian company Business > Accounting.

There is a different set of forms For a foreign vendor there is a W8 instead of a W9http://irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/fw8eci.pdfhttp://irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/iw8eci.pdfAnd a 1042 instead of a 1099irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f1042s.pdfhttp://irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/i1042s_07.pdfBUT" rel="nofollow">irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f1042s.pdfhttp://www... it depends on what you were paying them for. Read the instructions but to me it looks like you have no reporting requirements unless you paid them for something that was produced in the U.S. (for instance if they provided a service on your property). Good luck!

If I am contracting a company in mexico to do service related labor do I have to send them a 1099 based on their invoice.

As a 1099 contractor does the company have the right to a dress code.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
